Community Projects
Laclede Gas and our employees team up on volunteer and charitable projects that make a difference in our community.
WeatherWise
Armed with smiles and the necessary supplies, our employees visit the homes of dozens of low-income disabled and elderly people in our service area each fall to install weatherization materials in their homes at no charge. The weatherization kits, provided by our Company, are designed to reduce drafts so the needy can be more comfortable and conserve energy. Meeting some special people along the way is a bonus for both groups.
United Way
Laclede Gas and our employees each year raise money for the United Way of Greater St. Louis through special events and our employee campaign. In addition, we assist the United Way with leadership and manpower for its annual campaign. We encourage our employees to volunteer at United Way agencies and serve on boards overseeing programs and allocations so they can make a difference in our community.
Arts Fund Drive
Through the annual Laclede Arts Fund Drive, our employees and Company join forces to raise money for the St. Louis Arts and Education Council of Greater St. Louis and the Saint Louis Symphony. In supporting these two fine organizations, our focus is on bringing the arts to youngsters who may not otherwise be exposed to them.
Salvation Army Tree of Lights Campaign
Our employees hit the streets each year to ring bells for the Salvation Army Tree of Lights Campaign. As the largest group of bellringers in the area, our employees raise funds for this annual campaign while gaining empathy for other bellringers who brave the cold for a good cause.
