Natural Gas Cooling
Natural gas can be used for much more than as a source of heat. Technologies use natural gas to chill and dehumidify the air.
By using an absorption cooling process natural gas can generate chilled water for air-conditioning applications. Chilled water can also be generated by using an engine driven chiller which uses natural gas to run the engine.
With desiccant dehumidification technologies natural gas can be used to dehumidify humid air by collecting the water vapor in an air stream. Dehumidification offers many benefits including decreasing overall energy costs while improving the quality of air provided to building occupants.
