Estimated Bills
We may occasionally estimate your monthly gas bill because of emergencies, bad weather or no access to a meter. You may also receive an estimated bill for August when our meter readers are on vacation. To minimize the number of estimated bills you receive, the following options are available:
- Give us a key to your house, along with written permission to use it for meter reading access. Call our Customer Service Department at (314) 621-6960 (toll calls: 1-800-887-4173) to request a form for this purpose and give us instructions on how to access your meter.
- Read your own meter. Ask us for a supply of postage-paid customer reading cards, and we will bill you according to your reading.
- Remove obstructions that may block our meter readers' access to read the gas meter.
In any case, our meter reader will attempt to read your meter every month except August.
