  1. Q. What is e-bill?

    A. E-bill is an Internet-based billing and payment option. Bills are electronically created and delivered over the Internet. It is safe, convenient and offers the flexibility to manage your bills at any time and from anywhere.

  2. Q. How do I begin e-bill service?

    A. Establishing a Customer Connection account gives you full access to enroll in e-bill. Customer Connection is Laclede’s online account management tool. This secure website puts you in control, allowing you access to information about your natural gas account. It’s all at your fingertips! Customer Connection affords you the convenience to enroll in e-bill, research questions, change account options, pay your bill at any time, night or day, and more ... according to your schedule.  Once you’ve signed up for Customer Connection, there is an option to enroll in e-bill. It’s free and it’s easy. Some financial institutions offer e-bill services through their online banking solutions (fees may or may not apply and are dependent upon the bank).   3. Q. How does e-bill work?

    A. Once your request for e-bill service is accepted, Laclede will send billing information to the online billing service provider on the same schedule that our bills are created. You will be notified via e-mail when your e-bill has arrived and direct you where to view and pay your electronic bill.

    E-bill customers receive the same service that paper bill customers receive … a timely, accurate bill, as well as periodic and informative billing messages and inserts in conveniently accessed electronic formats.   Plus, with e-bill, you can view and pay your bill online any time and schedule the payment for any date you select. An electronic payment can be generated directly from your bank account on the date you specify. However, please be sure the payment is made in time to be received by Laclede by the due date.

  4. Q. Who can receive their gas bill electronically?

    This service is currently available only to most customers. Customers who are not eligible to receive their bills electronically are:

    • Gas transportation customers
    • School aggregation customers
  5. Q. Will my financial privacy be protected?

    A. The strongest type of encryption on the Internet is used to ensure your privacy and security.

  6. Q. Why is Laclede Gas offering e-bill?

    A. Customers have requested this option because it is convenient and allows them to reduce their costs associated with checks and postage.

  7. Q. Can I use e-bill with Budget Billing?

    A. Yes, with Budget Billing, we estimate your total annual gas bill and divide that total into 12 equal monthly amounts. We continue to read your gas meter each month and review your account in January and July. If your actual cost of gas used is significantly more or less than expected, your monthly budget payment amount will be adjusted accordingly.

  8. Q. Can I use e-bill with the Easy-Pay direct payment plan?

    A. Yes, with Easy-Pay and e-bill, your bill is paid directly from your checking or savings account, and you receive an e-bill every month to confirm the payment amount and date. Alternatively, you may also be able to arrange directly with your billing service provider to have your Laclede bill paid automatically each month.

  9. Q. What if I change my bank account?

    A. If you change banks or open a new account at the same bank, you must update that information with your online billing service provider.

  10. Q. Who do I call if I have questions about my e-bill?

    A. For questions related to your e-bill account, if enrolled through Customer Connection, contact us at customerservice@lacledegas.com or by phone at 314-621-6960. If you are not enrolled in e-bill through Laclede’s Customer Connection, please contact your online billing service provider.
