Each month, Laclede includes an educational message on the billing statement. Occasionally, Laclede includes helpful information in the form of an insert. The following is a running 12-month list of bill messages and inserts that have been sent to customers. The information is listed in descending order, with the most recent billing month appearing first:

Bill message: Debris can create hazardous situations, so the area around the gas meter should be kept clear. If your meter is located outside, periodically check to make sure there are no shrubs, bushes or vegetation blocking it. If it is inside, make sure there are not clothing or other items near the meter. Never install electrical equipment within three feet of a gas meter.

Bill message: On January 13, 2012, the Infrastructure System Replacement Surcharge (ISRS) increased to $.83/month for improvements made to our distribution system since June 1, 2011. The ISRS is a monthly charge (outside of current rates) which covers some of the expenses that Laclede incurs to upgrade its system and relocate facilities in connection with local, state and federal public improvement projects. The ISRS first appeared on customer bills in June 2004.
